I appreciate the process of counseling--the insight that can be gained through the therapeutic relationship can foster positive, sustained change over one's lifetime. There are many struggles that we face in our daily lives, and counseling is one way to determine how we can develop resiliency to overcome these situations and learn skills in navigating future challenges. I enjoy working with clients that are seeking meaning and perspective in their lives; I believe clients that are successful are open and honest and have the capability to live an authentic life.
I am an Associate Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rhode Island College and have a small private practice in Pawtucket, RI. I am the President of Rhode Island Mental Health Counselors Association and the Vice President of Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement.
As a Pascoag resident, I recognized the need for counseling services in the area and was eager to start this group practice. Currently, I offer groups for both pet loss grief support and ear acupuncture. Individuals seeking individual, couple, or family counseling will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
