Services
Individual Counseling: Using a collaborative approach, our providers will explore ways to manage stress, transitions, or concerns related to education/work, or family. We work with children, adolescents, and adults that are struggling with behavioral, emotional, and/or interpersonal barriers. When working with children and adolescents, we are available to attend 504/IEP meetings as well as consult and coordinate with educational systems if requested by guardian/s and with the proper release of information. Attending meetings and coordinating care is often not covered by insurance and therefore we would arrange a fee schedule for this service.
Our providers work with a wide range of mental health diagnoses: mood and anxiety disorders, neurodevelopmental and other disorders of childhood (oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, Autism spectrum disorder), as well as sexual and gender identity disorders. Please visit our Mental Health Providers page to learn more about the specializations of our team.
Family Counseling: Using a "family voice" approach, we will work to develop realistic goals for healthy family communication and mutual respect. Navigating the family system can be complex-we will work to understand and know the family culture and provide counseling that affords each member to be a part of the therapeutic process.
We will initially meet with the entire family to determine the problem areas. From here, individual meetings with the guardian/s and then child/ren may be held separately to further understand the complexities that make up the family system. It is important that all family members are present and participate in the therapeutic process in order to create and sustain positive change.
Couples Counseling: We have experience working with couples from diverse cultural and sexual backgrounds. The goal of couples/relationship counseling is guided by each individual couple. Partners engaging in therapy must be willing to put in the work needed to help with the problems in the relationship.
We will meet first with both partners for an initial assessment to discuss the concerns within the relationship. After the initial meeting, in some cases, a follow-up meeting with each partner separately will be held before determining how to move forward and developing relationship goals.
Group Counseling: We recognize the power of the group to foster shared understanding and processing of life events. Group counseling topics will rotate throughout the year and are advertised. Both open (members can join at any time) and closed (members begin at the same time) groups will be offered.
Individuals are required to pre-register to attend a group. Individuals do not need to be current clients of the practice to attend the groups. To see the types of groups offered, please visit the Groups page.
Training and Education: Our providers are available to provide training and education to larger groups or agencies that wish to expand their knowledge on a variety of topics. Please contact us directly for requests and we will review our rates.
Rates and Fees
If we do not accept your insurance, we use a private pay sliding scale based on the U.S. Federal Poverty Guidelines, taking into account both income and family size. Rates will be discussed at intake and are established by individual mental health providers. Superbills are provided to clients seeking reimbursement for out-of-network services from their insurance provider.
