Miranda is a graduate of Rhode Island College with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and also holds a Bachelor's and Master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design.
Miranda has interned and worked with a diverse group of individuals including elementary-aged children within Rhode Island’s public school system as well as adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Grounded in person-centered, acceptance, and strengths-based approaches, a major focus of her work is to help clients in being mindful of the present moment and embracing their thoughts and feelings without judgment. Miranda enjoys adding creative arts to therapy, such as painting, crafts, and collage for those who would like to incorporate these approaches. Miranda collaborates with clients to develop healthy coping skills, reduce stress, manage anxiety, and nurture flexible relationships with themselves and others.
